Alex Fernandez is currently earning her bachelor's degree in Advertising after earning her AA from Santa Fe College. While there, she was in its honors program, Phi Theta Kappa, and was on the Dean's List. Out of the classroom, she volunteered as a freelance English tutor specializing in essay writing and volunteered at a non-profit, State of Mind, as a marketing team member. In this role, she brainstormed ideas such as podcasts, blogs, and merchandise. 

 

Now at the University of Florida, Alex is learning more about social media strategy, content creation and management. This passion has led her to focus on storytelling. Previously, Alex worked at Florida 4-H Headquarters as a Public Relations Student Assistant and interned at the University of Florida's College of Medicine as a Social Media Intern. She has also successfully completed her Disney College Program at Walt Disney World where she improved her public speaking, customer service and leadership skills. Currently, Alex is an Event Productions Student Assistant at the Reitz Union and a Media Service Intern at WUFT News.
